ARTZART - An accidental purpose

ARTAZART is a bookstore intended to sell books related to the arts in general with a special attachment to graphic design. Of course nowadays you can purchase any book you want online, specially if it is something very specific that you couldn't find at your nearest bookstore, or you just didn't go there to look for it. The thing is, bookstores are great and we should not be giving up on them, ARTAZART is no exception. I don't go there to find a specific book or even a book, I go there to wander, find authors, artists, designers, photographers. I go there to gain contemporary knowledge through books, most of the times not intentionally. It is very interesting to find sapid new things by accident, and by accident I fully mean by accident. I don't deliberately go there, sometimes I have something to eat at  Du Pain et Des Idées, I walk around the neighborhood and I get in the bookstore. That's how I found it and, for me, that's how it's suppose to be.

The bookstore often has events and exhibitions. You can check their calendar or they facebook for upcoming occasions.

    1. Yes they are, I would say most of the books are in english except children books, and I know it's not usual to find english books in french bookstores so this one is really good for that and also Shakespeare and Co.

  2. If I'd go inside, I would also wander around :)

  3. Do they have like an inventory of books that can be accessed electronically? This kind of system makes it easier for those who are looking for titles and book authors.

  4. What made this post stand out was that I also wander around in bookstores. The mere fact of being in one makes me feel complete :) There are days when I get to stay for two hours just rummaging different books. I wonder how it feels to be in this bookstore.

    Nice post :)
